about

This is the fourth Phil Yates & The Affiliates record and the first one to feature the Chicago lineup of the band.

Some of these songs, ("The Door No. 3", "Secret Decoder Ring", "Smithereens", "Ode to a Café Waitress in Montréal") date back to Phil's solo acoustic days in Columbia, South Carolina and are at least 20 years old. They are now only seeing the light of day and sounding like they have always sounded in Phil's head. "Caraway" is a different Jay Lyon mix than what appears on Almost Halloween Time Records' December 2020 compilation, Portraits From The Quarantine.
